It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Returns in September

Sunny

I’ll update this post once there is an official date [UPDATE – It’s September 17th!], but I had to share my excitement from seeing the teaser for a September return of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Based on previous press releases, we already know season five will include 13 episodes, and I just found out that two future (season 6?) Christmas-themed episodes will be released to DVD early.

Until then, here’s a bonus from last year’s season four finale to tide you over.

Stephen Colbert: Bears and Balls

Colbert’s Jim Crameresque segment, Bears and Balls, has been of my favorites for a while, and Thursday’s installment featured some great material. The whole video is great, but skip to 1:45 in if you want to go straight to the great bit about Microsoft’s Xbox 360 Project Natal announcement. Admittedly, I enjoyed it more since I’m an Apple fanboy, but I’m also a 360 owner who is skeptical about the true awesomeness of Natal.

The Daily Show: Blacks and Jews

Larry Wilmore is the most consistently hilarious part of The Daily Show’s current stable of mock-correspondents. TDS has never shied away from racial humor, and Wilmore gives us the perfect marriage of satire and honesty. This clip from last Thursday’s episode is exactly the kind of material that has caused such a large group of people under 35 to get most of their news from Jon Stewart and the gang.
